Hi, everyone!

I just wanted to give an update on my condition and my progress to date. The Christmas holidays are behind me, the New Year is just days away, and instead of dreading yet another year of misery, I'm looking forward to 2010 and what it will bring for me in my life. I am, officially, a new person starting this new year ahead.

My employer, Ben, says I'm looking (and acting) like a new person... like I have a sense of serenity and comfort in my own skin again... like I'm actually HAPPY! Guess what? I am. As of today, I've lost 4 dress sizes and 34 pounds without effort, partially because of eliminating sugar and processed flour, but mostly because I can move again. I have a pep in my step and energy I haven't seen in years. My spasm is gone, my pain lessens each and every day, and I'm seeing possibilities for my future that never existed in the past, because in the past, I never thought I'd see my future.

I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year, and I'll keep you all posted on my progress!

Much Love-

Hello Donna,

My name is Megan..Dr. Groshell's writing partner on his latest book, "East Meets West From the Bottom Up." Thank you so very much for stopping by. I wanted to write and let you know that the e-book will be out during the holidays, print comes Jan. 1st. It will help you so much! It really will.

I also wanted to reply and let you know that Dr. Groshell is retired. I'm pretty sure you are referring to his son. When Dr. G left after over 40 years, he did a nice thing and gave them to his son (also named Dr. Howard Groshell). While the younger Dr. Groshell followed in his dad's footsteps by becoming a Podiatrist, his specialty isn't in fibromyalgia. It wasn't his path. However, Dr. Groshell (senior) is dedicated to tackling fibromyalgia and has been all his life.

Every Wednesday between 1pm and 5pm, Dr. Groshell will be available for questions. Please write to us in the meantime. Go to our forum! I'm making a special place for everyone right now.

I will also email you personally!

Thank you again for joining our community!

Hi

I just stumbled upon your website address on fibromyalgia-symptoms.org. I was reading the testimonials and saw that the doctor was located in Florida. I then clicked on about the doctor and realized he is right here in my hometown. I live in Yulee but work in Jacksonville. I have been suffering with FM for about 7 years maybe longer. Over the past several months it has become almost unbearable. I have this constant pain in my upper back and shoulder region my arms and legs ache, along with muscle spasms. I checked to see if he is participating with my insurance. I work at BCBSFL and have the Blue Options coverage and noticed that he is only participating with Traditional/PPO. At this point, I am willing to go out of network just to get some relief :-) I plan to give your office a call sometime this week. Thanks!

Dear Erika, Thank you so much for coming to our website. I work with Dr. Groshell so I can personally attest to the success of his treatment protocol. I understand exactly what you are describing because so many of our patients come to us with the same debilitating symptoms. Kate, the patient who wrote the testimonial above, had similar complaints. After treating patients for so many years, Dr. Groshell wants to share his success with others. There will soon be a book offered on the website which describes the treatment in vivid detail. In fact, you can perform the treatment on yourself. In the meantime, please don't be discouraged. We are all here for you and hope to see you "get your life back."
I don't know where you live. We are located in Florida. However, Dr. Groshell will be offering a course for interested practitioners starting in the New Year. We all look forward to promoting this protocol so that anyone who suffers and is interested can find relief.
Have a beautiful day and know that we are here to help!

Hello My name is Erika C, and I am 27 years old. I have been having pain since I was 20. I have been to a dozen+ doctors in the last 7 years, and each year as more of them were turning me away, my pain was worsening. My most noticable pain started in my legs, and sometimes was so painful that I didnt know what to do. I used to take more motrin and tylenol than any person ever should because no doctors were helping me and it was the only way to bring my pain to a point that i could tollerate it and do the things that i had to do each day.

As time has gone on more of my body has shared this intense pain, shooting pains, stinging/burning, aches...and about 4 years ago I started have such bad fatigue and restlessness that I began to find it difficult to concentrate or focus on anything and i forget things all the time. My fatigue has now gotten so hard to manage that Im unable to function at all without coffee. Most of the time I find it hard to care for my home and my children because Im so tired that I dont have the will power to get going and keep up. Sometimes all the energy I can muster comes out in tears instead of actions.
I have actually cried out at my husband for hugging me or trying to hold my hands, or even for trying to just lean up against me and cuddle. I can sleep 7 hours or even 8 hours at night and wake up feeling as if i never slept at all. I almost never leave my house to visit friends because Im afraid what they will think when i cant finish my own thoughts or ideas when Im talking, and I have forgotten that they were coming over when we plan it, even though I started writing everything down. I love to paint, but I find it hard to keep control of my brushes, and i often have to concentrate so much on holding the brush and keeping it steady that I forget where the next strokes are supposed to go and if I do finish my work it looks nothing like whatever i wanted to paint.

i really want help, but doctors continue to turn me away saying either that Im too young to be diagnosed, or that Im simply an attention addict and that they feel nothing is wrong with me. 5 years ago i could still tollerate my pain enough to do most things and enjoy things, but now Im having days where I cant hardly hold my brushes, my silverware, or even open dorrs for myself and I cannot imagine living another 5 years like this.

Ive set another doctors appointment for next week but i dont expect to get much help. So, again, thanks for inviting me here. Maybe in my exploring I will find more help here than i have found in the last three states that I have lived in.
